Katherine is USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze medalist, earning her Gold Medal on an off the track TB that was finishing his second career as a 4' jumper. In 5 years Katherine trained Rockstar to Grand Prix and received her Gold Medal. She has trained numerous horses to the FEI Level.
Katherine began her dressage career at 14, riding her first dressage tests. She had been introduced to dressage as an event rider. Her team coach was an "I" judge, now call "S". California Dressage Society had been formed 7 years prior.
Katherine evented with her 1/2 QH/TB mare County Girl, receiving high score in dressage at CMDTRA in Concord, CA. and switch to Dressage in the 80's. Training another TB mare to 4th level, she traded her for the Oldenburg mare Pik Nova by Pik Solo/ Weltmeister. On Pik Nova, Katherine and Nova placed 3rd in the country of all Olderburgs competing 1st level in '95.
Katherine continued her training business and education through out the years. She attended and completed the Breed Orintation Course at the Hanoverian Verband In Verden, Germany, run by Dr Ludwig Christman in 2007. Learning the intricacies of sport horse breeding and judging, through the evaluation of mare performance tests, stallion performance and licensing test and judging, and observing all three phases of the 100 day test at Celle, Katherine learned the art of selecting horses for sport.
Katherine continued her riding education with Klaus Balkenhal's rider Stefan Wolff, and now currently works with Pierre St Jacques regularly.
